Thirteen sides of story
There are many reasons for suicide which is hard to tackle on a certain cause, but for Hannah Baker recording on audio tapes listeing thirteen reasons on why she did it. Unlike the many teen drama around, this one is dark and mature to the extent that Netflix warns the viewers for discretion. The great thing about the show is that it exceeded the source material in pacing and changing some key moments. Yes the mystery starts slow, but at the same time it has the hook and the mystery revealing slowly was worth it. However throughout the season it was a bit annoying from the characters reminding us most of the times about Clay’s tape repeatedly. Also by the end of the season there was a closure for the main plot, but at the same time left some loose ends on others for perhaps a future second season.
To conclude the show has surpassed the book with fixing the plot and giving its own identity, and although it is depressing but it packs a message for teens and adults about being more responsible for their action.
